As a marketing manager, Kurt manages the wind instrument marketing efforts for Yamaha Corporation of America. Kurt's team has embraced the use of both podcasting and video production within the organization, ironically using these tools to market a band instrument product group that doesn't even use electricity (flutes, clarinets, saxophones etc).
In their nearly two years of video work, the wind instrument marketing department has created trade show videos, dealer training podcasts, consumer podcasts (both video & audio) and product support DVD-ROM's replacing traditional printed literature. Now viewed as internal experts within the company, Kurt and his team provide ongoing assistance related to Yamaha's corporate video and podcasting objectives and strategies.
